Bill Peace Award

The Bill Peace Award was created in 2019 to honor Bill Peace, a Floyd 911 employee who was a friend to everyone and who epitomized the public safety.

His career included work at the Rome Police Department, Rome Fire Department, ambulance services for both Redmond Regional and Floyd Medical Center, as well as work with Floyd Emergency Management and Cave Spring Police Department.

Bill received the inaugural award in honor of his lifelong sacrifice to public safety.

This award will be regularly presented to dispatchers who serve with dedication, honor, humbleness and integrity.
