in observance of MLK Jr. Day.
Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
Remote Site Information
The Floyd County Remote Sites were designed as collection points for household garbage and recyclables. All sites are equipped with trash compacting units and recycle bins for paper, cardboard, cans and plastic bottles & jugs. Each site has an attendant on duty during all hours of operation. Hours of operation vary by site and are posted below.
Berryhill Site - Located on Berryhill Road in the western portion of Floyd County.
Cave Spring Site - Located on Kings Bridge Road, southeast of Cave Spring.
Hatfield Site - Located on Jones Mill Road in northern Floyd County.
Midway Site - Located on Midway Park Road, which is off Wax Road, in southeast Floyd County.
Potts Road Site - Located on Potts Road in northeast Floyd County.
Shannon Site - Located on Burlington Drive in northeast Floyd County in the Shannon Community.
