Sidewalk Repair in Lindale Community
Status Updates

2020 - Completed.

2016 - Defined the Lindale Mill Village running along Maple Road and Park Avenue from N. 4th Street to Dragon Drive. Then, from the intersection with Eden Valley Road to Circle Drive.

The first major expense was to upgrade the signal at Old Rockmart Road to include a pedestrian crossing. This soon connected to another SPLOST project, the constructionn of the Train Viewing platform. This area will now be a trail head for yet another SPLOST proejct to connect Lindale to the Kingfisher Trail in Rome. In addition:

  • 10 roads in the village have been paved;
  • 25 handicap ramps have been installed;
  • The sidewalk on the bridge was removed and replaced;
  • 3,000 feet of sidewalk has been replaced with the primary focus of connecting the main roads to Wolfe Park and the Pepperell Primary and High Schools;
  • A traffic table was installed at the intersection of S. 2nd and Terrace Avenue to help slow traffic.

6.23.2014 - Minor drainage improvements have been completed in Celanese. Preliminary discussions for future work in eligible areas.
