Special Election Day
Tuesday, March 18, 2025 - 7:00am to 7:00pm
Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with O.C.G.A. 21-2-540 and O.C.G.A. 21-2-2(3), a special election shall be held in Floyd County to fill a vacancy in the office of Post 4 of the Floyd County Board of Commissioners. Said vacancy resulted from the death of the Honorable Larry Maxey and shall be for the remainder of the term which he would have filled being through and including December 31, 2026. The Special Election will be held on March 18, 2025. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Should a runoff be required, such runoff will be published in the legal organ with the date as prescribed by the Secretary of State.
