Board of Assessors - Special Called Meeting

The Floyd County Board of Assessors will meet in a called meeting on Monday, November 27, 2023. Caucus will be held prior to the meeting at 8:00 a.m, and the meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Floyd County Historic Courthouse, 4 Government Plaza, Suite 216, Rome. The called meeting is for the purpose of discussing:

• 2023 Final Digest Values for Public Utility Properties as submitted by Georgia Department of Revenue Public Utility Division
• 2023 Floyd County Level of Assessment at 40% as opposed to the Ga DOR recommendation of 35.58 as noted on each notice of assessment
• permission to include in each mailing an insert of the Arbitrator’s Decision sheet from DOAA 2022 Sales Ratio Report appeal. This sheet provides confirmation that the DOAA’s original ratio of 35.53 was found to be 38.40 and gives the Floyd County Board of Assessors the right to set the level of assessment at 40%.
