PUBLIC NOTICE: Relocation of South Floyd Polling Location

PUBLIC NOTICE:

At their Tuesday, August 6, 2024 meeting, the Floyd County Board of Elections & Registration voted on the relocation of the South Floyd Polling place from VFW Post 4911, 2632 Cedartown Hwy SW, Rome, to the new polling location at the Lakeview Building at Georgia Highlands College, 3175 Cedartown Hwy, Lindale.

The relocation came at the request of Gene Parker, Quartermaster of VFW 4911. Additionally, the Board feels this is the safest course of action in consideration of events that occurred during and after the June Run-off election.

The Floyd County Elections Office maintains efforts to protect the electorate, the election staff, and the electoral process to provide a safe and secure facility to conduct election events.
