PUBLIC NOTICE: Coosa Precinct Name Change to Coosa (North Carolina)

In respect to Floyd County’s rich history, the Floyd County Board of Elections and Voter Registration has elected to alter the naming of what was previously known as the Coosa precinct, to now the Coosa (North Carolina) precinct, effective immediately.  Originally, the Board decided to change the name from North Carolina to Coosa due to confusion within the electorate believing they had been registered to vote out of state. Hence, to both honor the history of Floyd County, as well as assist in limiting confusion, the official name moving forward will hereby be known as Coosa (North Carolina).
