Rhonda Wallace

Rhonda is a life-long resident of Floyd County and a graduate of Model High School. She is Vice-President of Greater Community Bank. She has been in the banking industry for the past 35 years. Rhonda is married to Ronnie Wallace and they have three adult children, Bradley, Heather and Haden and six grandchildren, Kenyan, Alyssa, Alex, Samantha, Harper, and Kelbie Jo.

Rhonda is currently the Treasurer and Board Member of the Children's Open Door Home, member of the Floyd Health Care Foundation fundraising committee, Rome Exchange Club, The Republican Women and a member of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, where she serves on numerous committees. She is the past chair of the Rome-Floyd County Planning Commission and a past board member of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce. She and her husband are members of the West Rome Baptist Church.

Rhonda has received many honors for her community service. She is a 2005 recipient of the Heart of the Community, received the 2004 Woman of Excellence Award, the 2003 Wesley Johnson Leadership Award, 2001 Outstanding Club President Award and the first Female President and in 2000 was the Ambassador of the Year for the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce.

Commissioner Wallace currently represents the Board of Commissioners as Chair of the Elected Officials Committee, and serves as Alternate on the Public Safety Committee and the Planning Commission. She is the Floyd County Legislative Liaison. In addition, she serves on the Rome-Floyd SPLOST Overview Committee, Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful, Library Board, Transportation Policy Committee, and the Downtown Development Authority.
